Rapper Lil Wayne is picking Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant over Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan as the GOAT.

In an episode of “The Bumbu Room,” a show where Lil Wayne answers fan-submitted questions, Tunechi said while it's tough, he would choose Kobe Bryant over Michael Jordan.

“Oooof. Jordan or Kobe? Lord have mercy,” said Weezy, via the Chicago Sun-Times. “Y’all just gave me a migraine. I’m a real sports guy. Boy that is a tough, tough question. These days they think a tough question is Jordan or LeBron [James]. No, Jordan or Kobe is a tough question. Lord have mercy, please forgive me; God forgive me; Jordan forgive me. But it’s Kobe.”

People in Los Angeles probably already loved Lil Wayne because of his amazing music, but this comment about picking the Black Mamba over His Airness will only increase his popularity in the City of Angels.

Bryant and Jordan are arguably two of the best scorers in NBA history. Bryant has admitted multiple times that he patented his game after Jordan.

What is clear is that Bryant is the greatest player in Lakers history. He holds career averages of 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

Bryant was two-time scoring champion, an 18-time All-Star, made the All-NBA team 15 times, was a two-time Finals MVP and won five NBA championships — all with the Lakers.  Jordan won six championships with the Bulls and never lost in the Finals.

He won five MVP awards, six Finals MVPs, was a 10-time scoring champion and even won the 1987-88 Defensive Player of the Year award.

Lil Wayne, though, is sticking by his claim and going with Bryant.
