After a slow start to the 2017-18 NBA season, Brook Lopez has played well to begin November. In three games, he is averaging 27.3 points on 55.8 percent shooting from the field and 57.9 percent from the three-point line as the Lakers have won two of them.

As the Lakers prepare for a four-game road trip that begins against the Boston Celtics on Nov. 8, Lonzo Ball revealed why Lopez has played well recently according to Tania Ganguli of Los Angeles Times:

As both Ball and Lopez sat out some games during the preseason, they are now learning how to play together in head coach Luke Walton's system. When Lopez is in pick-and-pop situations with Ball, it adds another dimension to the team as they have started 5-5 to begin the 2017-18 NBA season.

With the Lakers going on their first road trip of the new season, it will be interesting to see if they can keep up this level of ball movement and defense they have shown in back-to-back wins against the Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies.

As one of the youngest teams in the league, the Lakers will face the Celtics, Washington Wizards, Milwaukee Bucks, and Phoenix Suns in five nights — which marks their first major challenge.
