Thursday will a special night for Lonzo Ball, as not only will he play his first game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, but it will also be the first time he’ll share the court with one of the best, if not the best player in the NBA today, LeBron James. He has made it known in the past that he thinks of him as such, and will have the opportunity to find out first hand if he’s claim is true or not.

The 20-year-old rookie recently said he is looking forward to playing against The King. He also added, via Serena Winters of Lakers Nation, that James can easily score 50 points against them, but understands that he wants his teammates more involved during games.

Despite both teams on separate paths right now, the game is expected to be a competitive one, and will be a battle between of two very different styles of play. The Cavs tend to set up more plays in their half of the court, and wait for the best available shot to present itself, while the Lakers push the ball as much as they can and take advantage of their youth.

It will be very interesting how Ball will perform against James. He may be struggling with his shot all season long, but with the former four-time MVP competing against him, it could bring out the best from him, and even take it as a challenge to prove to him that he can hold his own even in his first season as a pro.
