The Los Angeles Lakers failed to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans before the trade deadline. But while this news can be upsetting for the fans, sophomore guard Lonzo Ball seems to be feeling good, knowing that he's not traded.

Ball has reportedly been part of several trade packages the Lakers offered the Pelicans, but no deal ever came to fruition as Los Angeles reportedly backed out after ridiculous counter offers from New Orleans.

There were also speculations that the Lakers could trade Ball to the Phoenix Suns, but the latter denied those reports, saying saying they never had any conversations with Los Angeles' front office regarding a trade.

Now that the trade deadline is done, Ball, alongside fellow youngsters Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Josh Hart will be able to focus more on playing basketball. They were obviously bothered by all the rumors, and it was evident in Lakers' 42-point loss against the Indiana Pacers yesterday.

Although they didn't get Davis, the Lakers were able to add solid pieces through multiple trades. They acquired Reggie Bullock from the Detroit Pistons and Mike Muscala from the Los Angeles Clippers, Both players can shoot 3-pointers, something that the Lakers were looking in the trade market.

In addition, the purple and gold were able to open a roster spot after their trade with the Clippers. They can now sign a free agent if they feel the need to. There are reports that they are interested in bringing in Carmelo Anthony, and those speculations are expected to intensify in the next few days.
