If the Los Angeles Lakers trade Lonzo Ball to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans, Ball and his camp would prefer to be dealt to a third team, and the Phoenix Suns could be an option.

According to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times, Lonzo Ball and the Phoenix Suns have mutual interest:

The Suns have been looking for a point guard since last summer. The Pelicans have Elfrid Payton and Jrue Holiday in their backcourt. If traded, Lonzo Ball wants to play for a team which doesn't have an established point guard so he can start right away.

Ball, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, is averaging 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season for the Lakers while shooting 40.6 percent from the field, 32.9 percent from beyond the arc and 41.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Lonzo Ball is currently out with a left ankle sprain he suffered on Jan. 19 against the Houston Rockets. The 21-year-old has four double-doubles and one triple-double on the season. Ball could potentially be the perfect point guard to pair alongside Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker since he's a pass-first player.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb 7. It will be very interesting to see if Lonzo Ball stays on the Lakers, or ends up somewhere else.
