Despite the heavy amount of criticism hurled his way, Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball was able to filter out distractions en route to his second career triple-double.

Ball scored 11 points, nabbed an eye-opening 16 rebounds and dished out a game-high 11 assists as the Lakers blew out the Denver Nuggets, 127-109, on Sunday night at Staples Center.

Ball joined elite company with legendary point guard Magic Johnson as the only two players in the team's prestigious history to have multiple triple-doubles in their rookie season.

As reported by ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward, Ball was able to accomplish the feat off a dish to Julius Randle. The moment came early in the fourth quarter as the Lakers ballooned their lead to 23 points over the Nuggets.

Lakers head coach Luke Walton was very happy with his team's play on offense, as Los Angeles racked up 36 assists as a team.

“He's always kind of responsible for our pace,” Walton said. “Zo is going to be unselfish every night.”

According to Bill Oram of the Orange County Register, the Lakers had as many assists on the night as Denver had baskets made.

The Lakers improved to 7-10 on the season following their high-scoring affair, while the Nuggets fell to 9-7 in a very one-sided game, which saw Mike Malone and Nikola Jokic ejected in the first half.
