The Los Angeles Lakers have officially signed wingman Jordan Caroline to an Exhibit 10 Contract after a solid summer league showing.

Caroline had a long and successful college career. He spent one year at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and three years at the University of Nevada. At Nevada, Caroline established himself as a multi-talented wing with a reliable shooting stroke.

He was awarded many accolades, including Mountain West Tournament MVP and two finishes on the First Team All-Mountain West squad. By the end of his senior year, Caroline was averaging a near double-double with 17 points and 9.6 rebounds a game to go along with 37 percent shooting from downtown.

Although Caroline went undrafted, the Lakers gave him a chance on their Summer League team. The forward posted solid numbers in his Summer League minutes after missing a few games with a groin injury. As a starter in five games, Caroline averaged 14.6 points, four rebounds, and one assist per game. He shot an impressive 47.1 percent from distance, which certainly grabbed the eye of Lakers scouts.

Now, Caroline has a legitimate shot at playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis this season. The Lakers, like most other teams, are constantly looking for wing players who can knock down open shots. If Caroline can continue to shoot the lights out, he could go from undrafted to playing in STAPLES Center with the purple and yellow.
