Amid the lack of positives to take away from the Lakers’ winless start to the preseason through three games, Kyle Kuzma continues to shine. The Lakers rookie had another good game with 21 points in the Lakers’ 128-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

After being impressed with Kuzma’s competitiveness a couple days ago, Lakers coach Luke Walton now praised the youngster's confidence after the Nuggets game. He even called Kuzma one of the more confident rookies he’s seen during his time in the NBA, per Lakers Nation’s Serena Winters.

Kyle Kuzma doesn't come across as overly confident based on his appearance, but his play on the court has definitely been one of a player who believes in his own abilities. His confidence was on full display even during Summer League, when he led the Lakers to the championship without Lonzo Ball and won the Finals MVP.

The young rookie’s confidence now has to be sky-high at the moment given the way he’s started preseason. Kuzma is averaging 21 points and shooting well over 60 percent through three preseason games.

As the compliments keep piling up for Kyle Kuzma from his head coach thanks to his strong, confident play, he’s almost certain to play a big role with the Lakers this season.
