Since the arrival of LeBron James to the Los Angeles Lakers, it has created an entirely different vibe and buzz around the organization that has been lacking for quite some time.

This has also seen the front office continue to speak quite highly of James concerning what he brings to the table on and off the court as a player. With that in mind, team president of basketball operations Magic Johnson lofted some major praise toward the 33-year-old during a conference call on Friday calling him “the greatest leader in sports,” according to Kevin Ding of Lakers.com.

Throughout his career, James has earned the strong reputation as being a strong leader in the locker room. One who numerous teammates over the years have voiced much praise toward, thanks to the experience playing with him. What has helped this notion is that he has experienced a tremendous amount of success throughout his career that has seen him take his team to eight straight NBA Finals where he helped elevate the play of his teammates along the way.

There may be a little bit of embellishing here from Johnson given that he's trying to make the Lakers new star player comfortable in his new surroundings. It is part of the playing style that James has to involve his teammates that helped bring the best out of them while leading the charge.

The four-time league MVP now has the chance to uplift the Lakers from their struggles over the last five seasons of missing the playoffs in each campaign over that stretch. James could quickly help make them into a legitimate factor in the stacked Western Conference to possibly challenge the back-to-back defending champion Golden State Warriors.

This next chapter of his career is a chance for him to take his status among the all-time greats to yet another degree.
