Former Los Angeles Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson has denied a report from ESPN which claimed he was abusive to employees.

An ESPN report released on Tuesday said Johnson used intimidation and bullying as a way of showing authority within the Lakers organization. The Hall of Famer, however, says that never occurred.

Johnson resigned from his post near the end of the regular season during an impromptu press conference at Staples Center. It was a move no one saw coming. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has been running the team since Magic resigned. Owner Jeanie Buss is reportedly not planning to hire anyone above Pelinka.

The Lakers are a walking disaster right now. The report from ESPN was very critical of Pelinka, too. Even when the franchise isn't playing games, the Purple and Gold will make the news for all the wrong reasons.

The Lakers have the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, and they have a huge summer ahead of them, as they try to pair LeBron with another superstar and surround him with the right players.

Los Angeles is widely expected to try and trade for New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis again. The Lakers also have cap space to sign a max contract player in free agency.
