Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson was definitely thrilled to see his Purple and Gold take a 2-0 series lead on the Miami Heat in the 2020 Finals at Walt Disney World.

Behind superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers are two wins away from winning the title in Orlando.

With that said, Johnson couldn't be any happier.

Magic Johnson won five championships with the Lakers as a player. Although his exit as president of basketball operations was rather ugly last season, the Hall of Famer will always be rooting for the only franchise he played for during his legendary NBA career.

The Lakers will look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead on Sunday. No team in NBA history has ever erased a 3-0 series deficit in the playoffs, so look for Los Angeles to come out firing on all cylinders on Sunday to put the Heat away for good.

Through the first two games of the Finals, Davis is averaging 33.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while shooting 63.4 percent from the field and 60.0 percent from beyond the arc. James, meanwhile, is putting up 29.0 points, 11.0 boards and 9.0 assists. The King is also shooting 54.8 percent overall and 41.7 percent from deep.

The Lakers could very well sweep the Heat since Miami is playing without veteran point guard Goran Dragic and All-Star big man Bam Adebayo. If that happens, it would be the first time James will have swept a team in the NBA Finals.
