Space Jam 2 is now in the works which will star LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers. Magic Johson, the guy who is responsible for luring James in, was asked if he expects to have a role in the upcoming film.

As per Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints, Johnson said:

As of now, James is the only celebrity confirmed to take part in the film. As the most popular player on the planet, he's expected to be the lead star.

So fans are wondering, who will join James? Will Michael Jordan — the star of the first Space Jam — be given a role? Will he give James some advice on how to beat the Monstars?

According to whispers and hunches, James' close friends Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony will form part of the new Toon Squad. Perhaps a cameo appearance from Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors should be expected.

More details will be revealed in the coming days, months, or weeks. But from James' recent post, we now know that the sequel will be produced by Ryan Coogler — director of Creed and Black Panther, and will be directed by Terrence Nance. And a certain player named “B. Bunny” will be James' point guard.
