Magic Johnson stunned the basketball world last season when he abruptly resigned from his post from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Johnson was the president of basketball operations for the Lakers. The Hall of Famer said he wasn't having fun with his job anymore when he resigned.

Johnson resigned from his post near the end of the 2018-19 regular season during an impromptu press conference at Staples Center. It was a move no one saw coming.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has been running the team since Magic resigned. Owner Jeanie Buss hasn't hired anyone above Pelinka, who was able to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans this summer.

LeBron James signed a four-year deal with the Lakers. He met with Johnson at his LA house for multiple hours. The two legends talked about what it was going to take to get the franchise back to prominence. That’s why LeBron was confused when Johnson stepped down from his post.

Magic supposedly didn't have the best relationship with Pelinka and felt that the Lakers GM was talking behind his back. Johnson also didn't like how he wasn't able to tweet about other players in the NBA since he was working for the Lakers.

It appears Magic is really happy with his life right now, and Lakers fans should be content with that.
