The Los Angeles Lakers are preparing their very best for a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans for superstar Anthony Davis. Brad Turner of the L.A. Times reported the news that President Magic Johnson spoke with Pelicans General Manager Dell Demps and included five different trade scenarios that would get Davis to Los Angeles.

Lakers president Magic Johnson and the Lakers then presented five different trade scenarios to Demps on Wednesday and are waiting to hear back from Demps about which interest him the most, per sources.

After missing out on both the Paul George and Anthony Davis sweepstakes, the Lakers appear insistent on getting Davis to L.A. and pairing him up with LeBron James.
The Pelicans are in no rush, however, to trade Davis anywhere. The team that comes up with the best offer will get Davis, and that might not even happen until the summer of 2019, when even more players become free agents.
