Magic Johnson enjoyed watching Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis torch the Golden State Warriors in the first half of their Saturday matchup.

Davis, making his Lakers debut, was a monster. The Brow put up 22 points and nine rebounds in 18 minutes while shooting 9-of-16 from the field.

James, meanwhile, wasn't too shabby either. The King scored 15 points and also dished out eight assists. LeBron shot 5-of-10 from the floor.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are two of the top-five players in the NBA. The Lakers are hoping the two superstars can bring banner number 17 to the franchise in 2019-20.

Michael Jordan has the best player efficiency rating in NBA history at 27.91. Want to take a guess who is number two and three on that list? James is second at 27.59 and Davis is third at 27.42. So essentially, the Lakers have two of the most efficient scorers in NBA history on their roster. Not bad.

LeBron averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 55 games last season while shooting 51.0 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line. The four-time MVP missed 17 consecutive games due to a groin injury he suffered on Christmas against the Warriors. Had James not sustained that injury, the Lakers probably make the playoffs.

For the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018-19, Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. The six-time All-Star shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.

It’s going to be a lot of fun to watch LeBron and Davis play together. Magic Johnson can once again tweet from home and enjoy the games now that he's not working for the Lakers anymore.
