Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson says it breaks his heart to know that we won't get to hear Kobe Bryant's Hall of Fame speech.

Kobe was named an NBA Hall of Famer on Saturday:

Bryant is arguably the best player in L.A. franchise history. The Black Mamba won five championships and two Finals MVPs with the Purple and Gold.

Even today, it still doesn't seem real that Kobe isn't with us anymore. When it's time to present Bryant at his Hall of Fame induction, tears will be shed in the audience.

With the Lakers, Kobe averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game during the regular season. Along with his titles and Finals MVPs, the Lakers legend was basically Michael Jordan 2.0 for basketball fans around the world. Bryant was an 18-time All-Star, two-time scoring champion and 15-time All-NBA Team member with the Lakers.

When Kobe and his daughter Gigi tragically passed away, every item which was left at the memorial outside the Staples Center came with a handwritten note. In total, those who gathered outside the Lakers' homecourt left around 1,300 basketballs and over 25,000 candles.

The Lakers, of course, retired Bryant’s No. 8 and 24 jerseys last year. There will never be another Kobe Bryant in the NBA.
