Through three games of the 2017-18 NBA season, it is already evident opposing point guards are coming after Lonzo Ball. While Ball has struggled with his shooting (34.8 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from the three-point line), he is averaging 13.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 8.7 assists in 34.3 minutes.

After facing three solid point guards in Patrick Beverley, Eric Bledsoe, and Jrue Holiday, the Lakers take on the Washington Wizards in their next matchup at Staples Center. As Ball's father, LaVar Ball, said his son is not going to lose again in the same week, Marcin Gortat responded back on Twitter:

John Wall is one of the best point guards in the league and will be Ball's toughest matchup to begin the new season. While the four-time All-Star calls Ball a ‘good player' and ‘great kid,' he acknowledges players will come after him because of his father's antics.

For Ball, it appears he has accepted the circumstances and is solely focused on helping the Lakers win instead of himself. From being called a ‘bust' in his NBA debut to a ‘superstar' following his near triple-double performance against the Phoenix Suns (29 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists), all eyes will be on him and the Lakers.
