Matt Barnes says Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins was dancing and in good spirits at his wedding despite his ACL injury.

Cousins tore his left ACL in Las Vegas during a pick-up game and will miss the entire 2019-20 season. Boogie got married to his longtime girlfriend, Morgan Lang, in Atlanta over the weekend.

Of course, Cousins was dancing very slowly since he has a torn ACL. A surgery date has not been announced yet. A lot of times, players wait for the swelling to go down in their knee before they have the surgery.

DeMarcus Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Lakers this summer after playing with the Golden State Warriors last season. Cousins was projected to be the Lakers’ backup center. Los Angeles is going to sign Dwight Howard once he clears waivers now that Boogie is done for the season.

It was good to see Cousins happy and smiling at his wedding because the four-time All-Star has been through a lot lately. During the 2017-18 season with the New Orleans Pelicans, Cousins tore his Achilles tendon. Before he got hurt, Boogie was averaging 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds with New Orleans.

Last season with the Warriors in the 2019 playoffs, Cousins tore his left quad. This ACL tear is the third major injury Cousins has suffered to his left leg. It’s truly a sad story.
