Michael Beasley is starting his Los Angeles Lakers career on the wrong foot. After leaving the game against the Denver Nuggets a few days ago following a head laceration, the veteran journeyman once again had a premature exit, this time against the Sacramento Kings.

The Lakers have dropped their two games to open the preseason, both against Western Conference darkhorse Denver Nuggets, and are still looking to find the perfect lineup combinations on the floor. Beasley is one of the many offseason additions made by the tandem of Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka.

He is expected to provide instant offense off the bench, especially with playmakers like LeBron James, Rajon Rondo, and Lonzo Ball surrounding him. Beasley knows he'll have to make sacrifices if he's to prove to doubters that he can be a regular piece in a serious contender.

The former second overall pick of the 2008 NBA Draft is coming off a bounce-back season for the New York Knicks, but his campaign had an asterisk as the Knicks were among the worst teams in the league after Kristaps Porzingis suffered a season-ending injury.

Beasley played seven minutes on the night, scoring four points to go along with three rebounds and one assist.
