Los Angeles Lakers forward Michael Beasley looks to be ready to play on Saturday and provide some versatility for his struggling team, per Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints.

Beasley's absence is due to personal reasons, he is healthy and can return to action when ready. Beasley is not being rushed back, the details for his absence are currently unknown.

Beasley has not seen very much action so far this season, but he does offer a veteran presence and is capable of big games. The Lakers are no doubt looking for Beasley to contribute more this season after only averaging 1.0 points and 1.0 in three games for Los Angeles this season.

Heading into his 11th season, Beasley has helped other teams in the past and the Lakers took notice of his skill set prior to signing him. Beasley made be far removed from his incredible 2010-11 season in which he averaged 19.2 points and 5.6 rebounds for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Lakers will seek to avenge their first loss of the season against the Trail Blazers in their season opener, 128-119. Although Beasley only had 2 points and 1 rebound against Portland the first time around, defenses have to take his scoring ability into account.

There has been plenty of speculation and criticism of the current Lakers, but it is presumed things will get better in the near future. Los Angeles possesses far too much talent to struggle for much longer, it's a matter of chemistry and cleaning up the defensive issues right now. The Lakers will look to add another win to their record back in Portland where they have struggled over years.
