It was recently revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers will be without Anthony Davis for the next two to three weeks, with the superstar big man currently dealing with an Achilles injury. There has been a lot of concern regarding AD's current issue, but for his part, teammate Montrezl Harrell made sure to provide the fans with an uplifting update about Davis' health status.

Here's Harrell taking on reporter duties as he provided some footage of his teammate via Instagram (h/t Top Ball Coverage on Twitter):

Davis did not look like he was walking with a limp in Harrell's video, which bodes well for his status moving forward. Be that as it may, he is still set to miss a considerable amount of action as the Lakers look to take a cautious approach with the star.

The good news for the Lakers is that Davis' injury appears to be minor. Reports state that a recent MRI revealed a calf strain and a re-aggravation of his recent Achilles tendonosis. Neither of the two injuries seems serious, but it is completely understandable why the Lakers are taking a conservative approach in terms of their superstar's injury timetable.

AD has seen a significant dip in his production this season compared to last year. Right now, the seven-time All-Star is averaging 22.5 points (on 53.3 percent shooting), 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.8 blocks. Those are still some pretty stellar numbers, but we all know that Davis is capable of much more.
