Indiana Pacers big man Myles Turner has seen his name pop up in numerous trade rumors over the last couple of months, with the Los Angeles Lakers one of the teams interested in acquiring him. While he's currently out with a foot injury, Turner is still a hot commodity and this one LA TikTok model is going to new heights in order to recruit him to the Lakers.
Dipika Dutt, who has almost 1 million followers on TikTok, simply said “Come to the Lakers” to Turner. He then said, “If you go to dinner with me.” Her response? Once he's actually a member of the organization. In all seriousness though, the business just doesn't work like that. There is definitely a chance Turner gets moved, but it's no guarantee he'll end up with the Lakers.
Nonetheless, it's a smart recruiting pitch from itspikaaaa on TikTok. She just wants to see Los Angeles improve and adding a legitimate shot-blocker and defender to their frontcourt would undoubtedly help them be more competitive this season.
The funniest part, Turner said if the video gets at least 10,000 likes, she has to take up his dinner offer. Is he just trying to wheel or is the big man actually interested in playing for the Lakers? Who knows at this point. You can see the comment that started it all below.
