NBA spokesman Mike Bass has released a statement regarding Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins, who allegedly threatened to shoot his ex-girlfriend:

DeMarcus Cousins was trying to get his ex-girlfriend to let their 7-year-old son come to his wedding last weekend in Atlanta. The Lakers star, who is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season after tearing his left ACL during a pick-up game in Las Vegas, allegedly told his ex-girlfriend he'd make sure to put a “bullet in [her] f***ing head.”
Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Lakers this summer. He was projected to be the team’s backup center. After this ACL tear, some are wondering if this is it for Cousins, who is a four-time All-Star with career averages of 21.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
Boogie played with the Golden State Warriors last season. He tore his left quad in the first round of the 2019 playoffs. Cousins' injury woes began in 2018, when he tore his left Achilles with the New Orleans Pelicans. Cousins was on track to sign a lucrative contract in the summer of 2018 before he tore his Achilles tendon.
The Lakers signed Dwight Howard to a non-guaranteed deal after Cousins tore his ACL. Boogie has yet to have surgery on his knee.
