Free-agent shooting guard and NBA champion Nick Young wants the Los Angeles Lakers to know that he’s ready and available for a second tour of duty with the organization.

Following the Lakers’ letdown 129-119 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers Thursday night, Swaggy P hopped on Twitter and posted this now-deleted plead for Los Angeles’ front office to call him (h/t Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype).

Apparently, Nick Young was also among those who watched the game and whose eyes were tortured by the Lakers’ atrocious 3-point shooting. The Lakers’ shot 7-for-30 from behind the arc for a horrific 23.3 percent success rate. For a team that seems intent on deploying several small ball lineup configurations, the lack of outside sniping was glaring in the Blazers game. Josh Hart was the only Laker who made more than two 3-pointers, as he went 3-for-5 from deep. LeBron James and Brandon Ingram each finished with a 0-for-4 line from long distance, while Kyle Kuzma connected on just one of his seven 3-point attempts.

Nick Young is still without an NBA job and if there’s one thing he can sufficiently provide to an NBA employer, it’s his ability to knock down threes and the lack of conscience to launch them, which could’ve helped the Lakers in their season debut.

Last season, Nick Young appeared in 80 games for the Golden State Warriors and averaged 7.3 points on 41.2 field goal shooting percentage. He also hit a respectable 37.7 percent from the 3-point area. Before hooking up with the Warriors, he played a total of four seasons with the Lakers from 2013 to 2017.
