Welcome to the NBA offseason, where breadcrumbs are treated as golden nuggets when it comes to free agent destinations. But as subtle or absurd as it may seem, some of these do hold legs in hindsight. So when the 2018-19 season is underway and Paul George is wearing a Los Angeles Lakers jersey, remember instances like this from Josh Hart's Instagram post.

George is participating in a Fortnite tournament along with a few other NBA stars in Andre Drummond, Kenneth Faried, Terrence Ross, and Reggie Jackson. Meanwhile, Hart is known to be an avid fan of the popular tactical video game.

Past the Fortnite references, this image certainly sounds off everyone's offseason Spider-Sense. The Lakers are rumored to be prime suitors of George and a guy named LeBron James this offseason. Los Angeles has bee starving for a top-notch superstar after being used to having Kobe Bryant in town.

While we're still weeks away from when these free agency rumblings can turn into concrete talks made known to the public, do remember that former Los Angeles Lakers big man Andrew Bogut dropped a hint through his Twitter account that this will be an offseason of blockbuster acquisitions. But the real juice in Bogut's tweet is that most of these big deals are already agreed upon “verbally.”

But then again, as many other assumptions have turned out, this could all be a product of overanalyzing things and George ends up anywhere but Los Angeles.
