Quinn Cook is currently preparing for a very competitive season with the Los Angeles Lakers. They are expected to make a deep playoff run, and the former Golden State Warrior hopes that he'll be able to win a title with the Purple and Gold to honor his father.

Ted Cook was a Laker fan and would have been extremely happy if his son signed for the Lakers while he was alive. The Duke product also shared images of his father donning Lakers gear.

In a recent interview with Spectrum SportsNet, the one-time NBA champion talked about what wearing the Lakers jersey means for his entire family.

“Obviously anybody who knows my family knows he was the biggest Lakers fan ever, so I know he hasn’t stopped smiling since I signed. It’s been a tremendous ride so far for myself and my family, but I don’t think it’s hit yet and I just can’t wait to put that jersey on for real and when it starts for real.”

His statement remains consistent with his IG post, which he posted after confirming his move to Staples Center.

Quinn Cook has been productive off the bench in his three years in the league. An undrafted free agent, he first saw action with the Dallas Mavericks and the New Orleans Pelicans. It was with these teams where he showcased his superb ability as a backup point guard.

He shone even further when the Golden State Warriors picked up his contract. He was initially given a two-way contract with the Dubs but was soon able to prove his worth to the team. In the 2018-19 season, he played 74 games, averaging 7 points and 1.6 assists in 14 minutes of game time.

Quinn is looking forward to learn from LeBron James, Rajon Rondo, and Jason Kidd and contribute for the Lakers. Moreover, he will be playing with pride as he knows his father would have loved how his career has panned out so far.
