Los Angeles Lakers point guard Quinn Cook made his name in the NBA by serving as a reliable member of the Golden State Warriors second unit, where he would play his part in the Dubs' 2018 championship run. However, perhaps not too many folks know just how funny the 26-year-old is outside the basketball court.

NBA insider Steve Kyler shared his hilarious first-hand narrative involving Cook, who allegedly once told an intoxicated nurse that he was in fact, Derrick Rose.

It's not uncommon for fans to mistake NBA players for some of their other colleagues, but this is probably the first time we've heard of a player pretending to be someone else. This goes to show what kind of playful personality Cook has, and he appears to be a guy that should be a lot of fun to be with.

Nonetheless, there's no kidding around for Cook and the Lakers this coming campaign, as they look to bounce back from what was a forgettable 2018-19 season. Cook arrived in L.A. as a free agent this summer, signing a two-year, $6 million deal for the squad. This definitely pales in comparison to the hundreds of millions thrown around this offseason, but the 26-year-old should prove to be quite a bargain for the Lakers.

Cook had his best year with the Warriors in their championship-winning 2018-19 campaign, as he averaged 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 22.4 minutes off the Golden State bench. However, most of his value comes from his three-point shooting, with the former Duke standout being a career 41.8-percent shooter from beyond the arc on 1.1 treys made per contest.
