After having a huge game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night, Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo may be looking at some time on the sidelines.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Rondo reportedly suffered a strain fourth finger on his right hand and is considered day-to-day. X-rays did come back clean:

With Anthony Davis and LeBron James on the sidelines for Saturday's game, Rondo, Kyle Kuzma and the Lakers did not have any problems taking care of Oklahoma City.

Rondo poured in 21 points, a season-high for the 14-year vet, and added 12 rebounds and eight assists to help lead the Lakers to a 125-110 win on the road. Kuzma also had his best game of the season and scored a season-best 36 points on 15-of-24 shooting.

Unfortunately for Rajon Rondo, he may not be able get the chance to carry the momentum from his huge outing. If the four-time All-Star does indeed miss time due to the finger strain, guys like Alex Caruso, Avery Bradley, and Quinn Cook will have to step up and share the point guard duties for Los Angeles. Nevertheless, the Lakers don't expect their lead general to be out for a lengthy period.

Likewise, the Lakers will probably not miss the services of LeBron and AD for long. James sat out against the Thunder due to an illness, while Davis is still recovering from a bruised tailbone he suffered after taking a scary fall in their recent game against the New York Knicks.

The Lakers will have the day off before facing the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. Perhaps this could be a chance for the top team in the Western Conference to give their three ailing guys some rest and more additional time to heal.
