Rajon Rondo is one of a select number of players in league history who has had the honor of playing for both the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. Rondo won a title with the Celtics in 2008 and is looking to win one with the Lakers this season.

Rondo has had his fair share of heartbreak as well, with perhaps none more than Boston's 2010 NBA Finals loss to the Lakers. When asked to talk about that painful episode in his career, however, the veteran point guard was quite blunt about it:

“I blurred a lot of it out,” Rondo said, via Mark Medina of USA TODAY. “It was ugly.”

It is worth noting that in Rondo's 2008 title with Boston, it was also the Lakers that they defeated in that memorable series. L.A. got its revenge two years later.

Clearly, the four-time All-Star has no intention of reliving any of his past failures:

“It was a collective team effort. But that's a long, long time ago,” he said. “I look forward to obviously changing the chapter and continuing to go past this different chapter in my life and write a better story ending.”

Rondo has a tremendous opportunity to do just that right now. The Lakers are just four wins away from their first title in a decade, which was that 2010 title against Rondo's Celtics. That's all behind him now, though, and as he expressed above, he has every intention of making things right, so to speak.

The veteran point guard has been a revelation for the Lakers in these playoffs, and he very well could be the X-factor in this series against the Miami Heat. Rondo is averaging 9.1 points, 7.2 assists, and 3.8 rebounds since returning from his injuries in the postseason. He's also shooting an impressive 44.8% on 3-pointers.
