After arriving in Orlando and re-entering the NBA bubble earlier in the week, Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo is now expected to clear his quarantine period on Monday.

To recall, Rondo had to leave Disney World last July in order to undergo surgery for his fractured right thumb. He had an initial recovery timetable of four to six weeks, so his status for the team is still unclear once he joins practice once again.

Rondo arrived in Orlando earlier in the month, but he didn't immediately join the Lakers as he rehabbed his injured thumb.

The Lakers play the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday for the opening game of their first-round playoffs match-up. With that said, the team still has time to determine if Rondo will be able to suit up in time — even on limited minutes as coach Frank Vogel will likely ease him back to the lineup.

Rajon Rondo's playoff experience will be crucial for the Lakers, who are in the postseason for the first time since 2013. Other players like LeBron James, Quinn Cook, JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard all have NBA Finals experiences, but it's hard to ignore Rondo and his famous “Playoff Rondo” performances.

Prior to the suspension of the season last March, Rondo was putting up 7.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game for the Lakers. In the playoffs throughout his career, the 34-year-old pass-first point guard has averages of 14.0 markers, 6.1 boards, 9.3 dimes and 1.9 steal while shooting an efficient 44.3 percent from the field.
