A day after the big trade between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers, Reggie Bullock sent out a heartfelt message to Brandon Ingram.

Ingram was one of the three players — along with Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart — who was sent to new Orleans in the Lakers' trade for Davis. Bullock has a great relationship with Ingram — who also grew up in Kinston, North Carolina — so naturally, he was affected by the trade.

Bullock and Ingram spent a relatively short amount of time together, but it's safe to say that they bonded pretty well. To recall, Bullock was traded from the Detroit Pistons to the Lakers midseason for Svi Mykhailiuk and a future second-round draft pick. He played 19 games (16 starts) with the Purple and Gold and spaced the floor with his outside shooting. He averaged 9.3 points, 2.6 assists and 1.1 rebounds while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from deep.

Ingram, Ball and Hart will now be donning a Pelicans jersey. It'll be a new beginning from him and the former Lakers' young guns. Time will only tell what's in store for them in New Orleans. But given their talent and immense desire to win, the kids will be alright.

Bullock, meanwhile, is an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Lakers are not yet done re-calibrating their team which puts Bullock's future in the limbo. Los Angeles will need a ton of knockdown shooters though, and this is what Bullock can bring to the table.
