Russell Westbrook is simply one of, if not the most hated on individuals in the NBA this season. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been on the receiving end of what feels like non-stop slander ever since he suited up for the purple and gold. Russ' ex-teammate, Bradley Beal, has grown tired of all the disrespect and he's now spoken out about all this nonsense.

Beal was recently a guest on Draymond Green's podcast and one of the subjects that came into the picture was Russell Westbrook, who happens to be Beal's former teammate with the Washington Wizards. Before Westbrook moved to Hollywood last summer, Russ and Beal formed one of the most explosive backcourts in the NBA.

When asked about all the disrespect Westbrook has been receiving throughout the season, Beal got brutally honest with his response:

“That s–t piss me off. I ain’t gonna lie, bro,” Beal said. “It really frustrate me, especially being a guy that played with him. The disrespect, that s–t gotta stop, bro. It’s gotta stop because we acting like this man is not a Hall of Famer.”

Green agreed with Beal's assessment of Russ, even saying that Westbrook is going to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Based on what we've seen from the former league MVP throughout what has been a decorated career, it's actually hard to argue against this notion.

This is exactly why both Beal and Green are having none of this slander. Both men appreciate what Westbrook brings to the table and despite his down year with the Lakers this season (at least so far), they firmly believe that Russ deserves much more respect than what he's being given right now.

Beal then talked up Westbrook's strengths before sending out a strong message for all of his haters and naysayers:

“Russ is going to play winning basketball,” Beal continued. “Russ is going to go get rebounds. Russ is gonna make assists. Russ is gonna take advantage of matchups he feel like he can. And he's gonna play a hundred miles per hour. He's gonna play hard. If that's not your cup of tea, don't watch him.”

As Draymond Green put it so aptly at the start of the clip, we all have to stop acting “as if he not f—in' Russell Westbrook.”
