Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman apparently had a lot riding on Sunday night's matchup between their two sides. Following Seattle's impressive 27-24 victory against the 49ers, Wagner revealed that he had just won tickets to see the Los Angeles Lakers in a bet he made against Sherman:

Wagner is a Los Angeles native himself, and it is clear which team in the city he currently supports. The 29-year-old did appear giddy about his bounty, especially considering how it looks like he will be watching his Lakers from a very close distance. Knowing how Sherman rolls, it would not be surprising if these end up as floor seats for one of the Lakers' upcoming games.

No further details were provided about Wagner's prize, but perhaps this could be during Seattle's next trip to L.A. on Dec. 9 when they face off against the Los Angeles Rams. Lucky for Wagner, the Lakers are scheduled to host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center on Dec. 8, so perhaps this would be a good time for him to cash in on his reward.

This amusing narrative is testament to the fact that even the most prominent athletes still remain — at the end of the day — sports fans. The same can be said of NBA stars themselves, with more than a few of them known to closely follow other competitive sports aside from the NFL.
