NBA Hall of Famer and Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O'Neal is picking LeBron James and Anthony Davis as the NBA's top duo.

O'Neal is taking LeBron and AD over Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and James Harden and Russell Westbrook.

James and Davis are two of the top-five players in the league. The Lakers are hoping the two superstars can bring banner number 17 to the franchise in 2019-20.

In his first season with the Lakers, James averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 55 games while shooting 51.0 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line. The four-time MVP missed 17 consecutive games due to a groin injury he suffered on Christmas against the Golden State Warriors.

Had James not sustained that injury, the Lakers probably make the playoffs.

For the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018-19, Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. The six-time All-Star shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.

Lakers fans are going to have a lot of fun watching LeBron and Davis play together this season. Opposing teams, meanwhile, are going to have nightmares trying to stop The King and The Brow in the pick-and-roll game.
