Shaquille O'Neal has been trolling Dwight Howard ever since the latter agreed to sign a one-year, non-guaranteed deal to return to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Howard's name was dragged by Shaq in his recent “feud” with Kobe Bryant, but when Dwight was asked to respond to the issue, he had nothing but great things to say about the two legendary superstars.

And when there were no jokes thrown, O'Neal showed he can also give love back to Howard … assuming it's not disingenuous:

If Shaq called out Dwight a couple of years ago, the latter probably would've started throwing jabs back at the former. But Howard has made it clear his only focus this season is to help the Lakers win a championship.

Dwight is on a mission to redeem himself. He wants to prove to the rest of the league he can still play at a high level, and to show everyone he's a changed man. But there are a lot of people who are still not convinced with Howard's words, and they want him to just prove himself on the court.

The Lakers are laser-focused on competing for a championship next season, and they want everybody on the roster to be on the same page, including Howard. His unnecessary antics will not be tolerated by the team, and if he ends up being more of a distraction than an asset, the team can just waive him and move on.

The best-case scenario, of course, is for Howard to become an integral part of the Lakers' championship quest.
