After the Los Angeles Lakers won the bubble championship, fans and analysts quickly shared their thoughts on whether or not LeBron James and crew can win another title and possibly start a dynasty. Shaquille O'Neal, who won three titles donning the legendary Purple and Gold jerseys, believes that the 2020 title could be the beginning.

Speaking with Andy Frye of Forbes, O'Neal shared his definition of a dynasty. Given this, whether another dynasty takes root in LA is a matter of wait and see.

“Well, a dynasty only occurs when you win two or three in a row. This will be a start,” the Lakers icon said.

Since Shaquille O'Neal won titles for the Lakers and the Heat, many were curious to know which team he rooted for. Shaq gave an honest to goodness answer.

“People asked me who I was rooting for. I think I’m one of the only guys in the country who was saying that whatever team wins, I’m happy for them,” he added.

Obviously, he's happy for the Lakers given what they have gone through this year. As for the Heat, he would have been happy for them as well, given how gritty their players are.

“If the Heat were to win, I think, having been part of that team, it would be great for the franchise and I’d be happy for them. The Heat—they’ve got a great team, know how to compete—and they don’t get pushed around,” Shaq added.

And I knew that if the Lakers (won) I’d be happy for the team, and for the owner Jeanie Buss, and also for the city of Los Angeles. L.A. and the franchise have been through a lot this last year, especially with losing Kobe, so it means a lot for the city. And in winning, the Lakers would be tied with the Boston Celtics on championships, for the all-time best NBA team.”

The Lakers will likely have its core players intact in the 2020-21 season. But then again, being the defending champs, they will have a big target on their backs. Every single team will be bent on taking them down.
