After acquiring Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans a couple of months ago, the Los Angeles Lakers are gearing up to contend for a title this upcoming season. LA, who already has four-time MVP LeBron James, now has their second superstar, and the expectations have been raised to ‘championship or bust' level.

However, for the long-time critics of LeBron, the narrative will remain the same. Veteran sports analyst Skip Bayless believes that AD is the one that's going to take most of the blame if the Lakers fail to succeed next season.

To recall, it was recently reveals that LeBron told management AD should be the focal point of the Lakers next season. While Davis see it as an honor, Skip undoubtedly has a different opinion.

All eyes will certainly be on Davis as the Lakers begin their quest for their first NBA title since 2010. After all, the Purple and Gold sacrificed their future — trading Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and a number of picks — just to bring AD to LA.

The Lakers, with LeBron and AD leading the charge, are one of the favorites to win the championship. However, they know very well that it won't be easy with the likes of the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors reloading this offseason.
