San Antonio Spurs head coach Greg Popovich was asked about what made the Los Angeles Lakers tough to guard, Wednesday night. According to Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints, it's simple: LeBron James.

“Have you watched LeBron play before? He is LeBron James, that's what makes him difficult to guard.”

The Spurs were torched by James in the fourth quarter of their matchup. They allowed him to score 20 of his 42 points in that period alone. Furthermore, he was able to score 14 straight points to erase an eight-point deficit for his team.

This loss was simply heart-breaking for the Spurs as they had their chance to bag a win, but ended up choking in the last eight minutes of the game.

The Spurs are seemingly going nowhere at this point of the season. They've lost seven of their last 10 games as they drop to an 11-14 record, which is the second worst in the Western Conference. Only the Phoenix Suns have a worse record so far with four wins and 20 losses.

Gregg Popovich is no stranger to LeBron James as the Spurs have faced him thrice in the NBA Finals. He knows what King James is capable of, and that is why he gave this kind of answer.

The Lakers are currently on a roll. James is doing a yeoman's job so far in being the new face of the franchise. In 24 games, he is averaging 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

As a result, the Lakers are back into contention in the Western Conference. They are currently the fifth best team with a 15-9 record.
