Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is better than both Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, at least if you ask Stephen A. Smith.

Never mind that Luka carried the Mavericks all the way to the Western Conference Finals. It doesn't matter that Jokic became NBA Most Valuable Player for the second year in a row.

Apparently, Smith would still pick the Lakers big man, who has not shot a basketball since April, over both Luka and Jokic.

Davis may not even be the best player on the Lakers. That, however, doesn't prevent Smith from comparing him to two of the top-performing superstars in the NBA.

Luka Doncic averaged 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game this season. He also led the Dallas Mavericks to be among the last four teams standing in the postseason.

Nikola Jokic, meanwhile, put up career-best numbers this season — 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game on top of 7.9 assists per contest. His Nuggets finished sixth in the Western Conference to qualify for the Playoffs.

For his part, Davis actually didn't do bad, averaging 23.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game. The problem is he played only 40 games, and the Lakers did not even make it to the Play-In Tournament.

That might still be enough to consider Davis among the top-tier stars of the league, but is he better than both Luka Doncic and reigning MVP Nikola Jokic? Stephe A. Smith certainly thinks so.
