In a ridiculously bold claim, former NBA All-Star and 2015 Chines Basketball Association Foreign MVP Stephon Marbury claimed Duke freshman Zion Williamson will pass both Lebron James and Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time.

In a video, Marbury claims Williamson is superior to James and ‘it's not even close.”

“The reason why I would say LeBron is not the best basketball player is because he can’t shoot. Only Zion Williamson has the opportunity to be better than Michael Jordan. Zion is going to destroy the whole entire basketball planet. Zion is way better than LeBron, it’s not even close.”

Even the most casual basketball fan will take this statement with a grain of salt as there is just no way an incoming college freshman can be better than the consensus best player in the world. Also, the claim Lebron can't shoot is definitely subject to debate as Williamson does not have shooting as one of his primary strengths as well.

Most people agree Williamson is a very special athlete. One could argue he might even be a better athlete than James. At 6-foot-8, 285 pounds with a 40-plus inch vertical, Williamson is an athletic freak of nature. He's also a very good basketball player.

Williamson is projected to be one the top three picks of next year's draft along with Duke teammates RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish.
