The Los Angeles Lakers officially signed Trevelin Queen to an Exhibit-10 contract on Wednesday, giving the 24-year old wing an exciting opportunity to scrimmage with LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis in Lakers training camp.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin first reported the Queen deal.

Queen will be the 19th player to attend camp in Los Angeles. Teams are allowed up to 20 invites.

Queen led the Lakers in scoring during Summer League in Las Vegas and was arguably the team's best player. The 6'6 swingman averaged 13.2 points, made 7-of-13 three-pointers across five games, and showed off smooth hops on multiple occasions.

In his final chance to impress the Lakers' brass, Queen posted 21 points, five rebounds, and four steals off the bench in an 84-76 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

An Exhibit-10 deal is essentially a training camp invite that financially incentives players to sign with that team's G-League affiliate should they be released before the regular season — meaning Queen could end up taking his talents to the South Bay Lakers for the 2021-22 season.

Queen will join undrafted rookies Mac McClung and Chaundee Brown, as well as forward Cam Oliver at Lakers camp on Exhibit-10 deals. Undrafted rookie Austin Reaves — a.k.a. “Hillbilly Kobe” had his two-way contract converted into a two-year deal, giving him the 14th spot on the active roster. Fellow undrafted rookie Joel Ayayi is also in El Segundo on a two-way contract. The Lakers have one more two-way contract to hand out if they want.

Queen went undrafted in 2020 after two seasons at New Mexico State. He spent last year's training camp with the Houston Rockets and ended up playing 15 games for their G League squad, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
