The Los Angeles Lakers, who recently parted ways with Luke Walton, have released a statement with regards to the recent sexual assault allegations on the coach.

Los Angeles said that the alleged incident took place before Walton was named the head coach of the team. They also noted that the allegation was not reported to them.

After parting ways with the Purple and Gold, Luke Walton was named the new head coach of the Sacramento Kings. As of this writing, the Kings noted that they are aware of the allegations and are gathering more information about the alleged incident which reportedly happened in 2016.

According to TMZ, Kelli Tennant stated the alleged incident occurred when Walton was an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors. She claims that Walton invited her to meet him at his Santa Monica hotel to drop off a book she had published. The two had a business relationship and she asked Walton to write a foreword for the said book.

In the suit, Tennant says when she arrived at Walton's hotel, he convinced her to come up to his room so they could “catch up.” She claims when they got up to his room, Walton suddenly pinned her to the bed, placing his hips and legs over her body.

In the docs, Tennant claims Walton then began forcing kisses on her neck, face and chest. She claims she screamed for him to stop and tried to free herself, but he held her down, groped her breasts and groin, and rubbed his erection on her leg.
