Vanessa Bryant, the wife of Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant, is in full support of Kyrie Irving's proposition to make the Black Mamba the new NBA logo.

The Brooklyn Nets guard posted an action shot of Kobe Bryant for the NBA logo and voiced the need for the league to acknowledge the contribution of black players. Vanessa, for her part, made it known that she's on the same page as Kyrie.

It has been a year since Kobe Bryant's memorial took place at Staples Center after the tragic helicopter crash. The memorial was dedicated to not only the Lakers icon and the impact he had on others, but also to honor the lives of his daughter Gianna Bryant and those who perished in the crash.

Former players, teammates and friends spoke about the impact Bryant had all over the world and how he was a man that prioritized family over anything. Through his actions on and off the court, he instilled a mentality of determination and pure toughness in the minds of his Lakers teammates and fans all over the world. He is still missed by many today and will continue to be remembered as one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game.

To honor his memory and the heart that he put into every game that he played, Kyrie Irving and Vanessa Bryant both believe that it would only be right to make Kobe the face of the NBA. Jerry West, the man who has been the logo of the NBA for so many years, would be honored to be replaced by a fellow Lakers great and an influential man.
