Golden State Warriors superstar Draymond Green joined a lot of fans and players who believe that the playoffs feel a bit different this season because it is missing a polarizing figure. For the first time since 2005, superstar LeBron James is not playing in the postseason after his first year in a Los Angeles Lakers turned into a disaster. The Lakers looked poised to end their playoff drought early in the 2018-19 NBA season, but they collapsed in the second half of the season.

When asked about James' absence in the playoffs, Green admitted that it “feels weird” not having the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player around. It is worth noting that aside from missing the playoffs for the first time in 14 years, James will also not play in the finals after making it into the penultimate stage in the last eight seasons.

“It's super weird,” Green said of not having James in the playoffs via Howard Beck of Bleacher Report. “You always relish the opportunity to play against a talent like that.”

Green also added that it also feels weird that they are going to face someone completely different in the 2019 NBA Finals. Green battled James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the last four NBA Finals. This season, they will face either the Kawhi Leonard-led Toronto Raptors or the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks in the finals.
