It seems that people really do want to know about all things Lonzo Ball. It turns out that the Los Angeles Lakers rookie became the seventh most searched-for athlete on Google, per Tyler Lauletta of Business Insider.

The magazine listed the 10 most searched athlete on the search website and included names such as Isaiah Thomas, Carmelo Anthony, Tony Romo and Gordon Hayward. There were a lot of basketball players on that list.

In Lauletta's explanation as a possible reason why Ball was so searched, his father, LaVar came up. A lot.

Lonzo Ball became a lightning rod of attention with the help of his pass-first style of play and the bold proclamations of his boisterous father, LaVar Ball. At UCLA, Ball began to make headlines, notably when his father said, “You can't win no championship with 3 white guys,” after the Bruins' early exit.

This proves that people out there on the internet are interested in Ball not only because he plays for the Lakers, but also because he was hyped up initially by his father. If LaVar were one of the quieter NBA parents in the league, there's no way Ball even sniffs the top 10 of this Business Insider list.
