After their recent acquisition of Jimmy Butler, there's no secret that the Philadelphia 76ers are searching the market for a quality shooter. Rumors around the league have it that Los Angeles Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope could be on the Sixers' radar.

Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer mentioned that the Sixers are keeping tabs on Caldwell-Pope's availability, via an episode of “The Ringer NBA Show.”

“Philadelphia still has some work to do to get to (the Finals). I mean, they traded arguably their best shooters aside from JJ Redick. Now their depth is depleted, they need to add shooting. I had in my article on Saturday that they still retain interest in Cavs wing Kyle Korver. I’ve since heard that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on the Lakers is a guy they could have eyes for.”

Caldwell-Pope has seen his minutes drastically decrease this season. After playing 33.2 minutes per game last year, he is now playing just 18.6 per game for the revamped Lakers.

A huge reason for it is the emergence of sophomore Josh Hart, but a part of it is Caldwell-Pope's recent shooting woes. The 25-year-old shooting guard is posting career lows in field goal percentage (39 percent) and 3-point percentage (28 percent).

Still, a shooter will always be a shooter. Besides, Caldwell-Pope is also regarded as an above-average defender, making him intriguing for Philly.

However, the Sixers have to wait one more month before they can negotiate any potential deal for the shooting guard. The Lakers signed KCP this summer, so he can't be traded until Dec. 15. Caldwell-Pope is currently on an expiring $12 million contract.
