The Anthony Davis saga has just begun anew, and the Los Angeles Lakers are apparently already putting one of their most attractive trade offers on the table. According to Marc Stein of The New York Times, the Lakers have made Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and the No. 4 overall pick in the draft available in trade discussions with the New Orleans Pelicans concerning the six-time All-Star.

Prior reporting from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski this week indicated that New Orleans president of basketball operations David Griffin is seeking an established All-Star, a young player with star potential, and multiple draft picks in exchange for Davis. Considering the likelihood that no single team would be able to offer such a package to the Pelicans, Griffin has reportedly begun reaching out to interested suitors with the goal of involving additional teams in any potential trade.

Also on Wednesday, Tangia Ganguli and Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reported that though New Orleans wants Kyle Kuzma to included in any Davis trade, the Lakers have thus far rebuffed that desire, refusing to make him part of their offer to the Pelicans.

Griffin went out of his way to project confidence immediately after the draft lottery about the Pelicans’ chances of retaining Davis. Such talk was quickly confirmed as bluster, though, as it was reported that the imminent addition of generational draft prospect Zion Williamson didn’t change Davis’ mind about preferring to continue his career elsewhere.

Davis, a five-time All-NBA honoree at just 26 years old, requested a trade from New Orleans in late January. He’s a free agent next summer.
