The Los Angeles Lakers have had a busy offseason, and they're still interested in making more moves to bolster their roster for the 2021-22 NBA season. According to J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star, the Lakers are one of a handful of teams interested in trading for swingman Jeremy Lamb.

The Charlotte Hornets are another team interested in Lamb's services. The 29-year-old spent four seasons with the Hornets before joining the Pacers in 2019.

While the Lakers are interested in Lamb, they want to make sure he has bounced back from the injuries that limited him to just 36 games this past season. Because of this, it's likely Lamb will start the season in Indiana. The Pacers have been trying to move him, but they've been unsuccessful so far, even with some teams showing interest.

If Lamb can prove he can stay healthy and contribute, those interested teams will surely be willing to increase their trade offers, which would then make it more palatable for Indiana to trade him. The Pacers don't want to just trade him for nothing when his value is at a low point.

Lamb also missed a number of games during the 2019-20 season. In his last healthy season, which was in Charlotte, he averaged a career-high 15.3 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 44.0% from the field and 34.8% from 3-point range. He started 55 games out of 79 that season.

A healthy Lamb would be a nice depth piece for the Lakers if they can get him. They'll surely be monitoring his situation as the 2021-22 campaign begins. He's set to make $10.5 million in the last year of his contract.
