Los Angeles Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and head coach Luke Walton reportedly had a heated meeting in which Johnson yelled at Walton over the team's poor start to the season.

However, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, this isn't the first time Magic and Luke Walton have clashed.

“If you think back on this timeline, it's Tuesday morning. The Dodgers just lost, he's [Magic] upset about that,” Shelburne said on ESPN LA. “The Lakers lose two games on the road that they probably could have won and he's upset and frustrated. That's how Magic is. He's very competitive, he gets upset, he gets rash and has those kinds of meetings.

“From what I understand, this isn't the first time it's happened. It's probably the first time it's happened this year but this isn't new for anyone that's worked for the Lakers under Magic in the last couple of years.”

The Lakers have started the season 3-5 and are giving up a whopping 121.1 points per game, which ranks 28th in the NBA. Luke Walton's job doesn't appear to be in danger, but it's definitely something to monitor closely now.

Once LeBron James joins your team, the pressure to win grows exponentially. There's no way Magic Johnson was expecting the Lakers to be a championship contender, but it looks like he's upset at the offense Luke Walton has ran to start the year.

The Lakers will look to win their second-game in a row and quiet the noise a little bit Saturday when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers on the road.
