The Washington Wizards are starting to string together a few wins after a disappointing start. In fact, they opened the season so bad that rumblings about John Wall, Bradley Beal, and every other player in Washington no longer deemed untouchable in trades sparked plenty of speculations — one of which includes Brandon Ingram of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Per Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, a straight swap involving Brandon Ingram and Bradley Beal won't do well for the Wizards. To compensate, they might ask for at least two players from the Lakers' young core and Magic Johson would downright disagree.

“Ingram for Beal would be a difficult decision for the Lakers. If the Wizards also ask for Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and/or Josh Hart, Johnson would certainly pass.”

A scout pointed out Bradley Beal's superior shooting skills. For the unnamed scout, a sharpshooting guard like Beal is what LeBron James needs, given that he attracts double and triple teams most of the time:

“Beal would be a perfect fit next to LeBron,” an Eastern Conference scout said. “He's a much better shooter than [Brandon] Ingram, and LeBron needs shooters.”

Trade scenarios involving Beal have been circulating since news broke out that the Wizards are planning to push the reset button. Various analysts have pointed out that the current Wizards team have been with each other for too long but have resulted in little success. They have qualified for the playoffs four times out of the five years, but they've only made it as far as Conference Semifinals.
